Introduction:
Professor Elaine Yao is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis, with broad research interests in formal theory and comparative politics. Her current work focuses on the dynamics of group decision-making in weakly institutionalized settings and examines how decision-making processes shape the outcomes of coordination and collective action. Professor Yao’s work has appeared in American Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, and Chinese Sociological Review.
