SPE Hosts Inaugural SPE Partners’ Gala
SPE held the first SPE Partners’ Gala on October 28, bringing together long-term corporate partners, SPE faculty members, and administrative leaders to celebrate the School’s achievements and discuss future collaboration opportunities.
The event was attended by NTU President Wen-Chang Chen, Executive Vice President Wang-Ruu Tseng, and Dean Spyros Maniatis, the School’s newly appointed dean. The gala served as a platform for meaningful exchange between academia and industry, with discussions centering on talent cultivation, interdisciplinary education, and long-term partnership development.
In his opening remarks, President Chen highlighted the establishment of SPE as a major milestone in NTU’s efforts to promote interdisciplinary and international education. He expressed his appreciation to corporate partners for their trust and support, enabling SPE to integrate political science, economics, humanities, law, and management into a pioneering educational model.

The Dean first introduced the newly appointed international faculty members, and then announced that SPE will relocate to NTU’s Xuzhou Road campus in the summer of 2026, a move that symbolizes the School’s transition into an internationally engaged phase of development.
Dean Maniatis noted that in a world shaped by rapid geopolitical and technological change — from supply chain realignments to the rise of AI governance — SPE’s mission is to nurture future leaders who can think across disciplines, anticipate global trends, and act with purpose in complex environments.

More than a celebration of gratitude, the SPE Partners Gala reaffirmed the School’s vision for the future — to deepen the academia–industry collaboration and cultivate future leaders with political, economic, and global horizons.
