Our admission process is designed to get to know you better—your unique strengths, passions, and potential. It begins with a review of your submitted documents, and for those who progress to the next stage, an in-depth interview provides an opportunity to share more about yourself. We look forward to understanding your journey and aspirations through this process.

Applying as an
International Student
We want to learn more about you—your academic background, achievements, and dreams for the future. The process is based solely on the evaluation of your submitted documents, as there is no interview stage for international applicants. This allows us to thoroughly understand your potential and how you envision your studies at NTU shaping your future.

Pre-master’s Program
Applicants must possess qualifications equivalent to those required for admission to a university master’s program.
- Complete the online application form.
- Pay the application fee.
- Submit proof of academic qualifications (graduation certificate) to chweng@ntu.edu.tw (Attn: Mr. Weng, ext. 220).

Application Eligibility

Applicants must hold a bachelor degree or equivalent.

Preference is given to candidates whose academic performance ranks in the top 40% of their class.
Required Application Documents

Degree Certificate or Student ID: A scanned copy to verify eligibility.

Official Academic Transcripts: Showing grades from all years of study.

Class Ranking Certificate: Proof of ranking within the top 40% of the graduating class.

Personal Information and Statement of Purpose: To be downloaded from the College website, completed, signed, and uploaded as a PDF.

Course Record Form: Also available for download from the College website; must be completed, signed, and submitted as a PDF.

Recommendation Letters: Two letters submitted directly by recommenders through the online system.

Additional Supporting Documents: This may include TOEFL, GRE, GMAT scores, or any other evidence demonstrating research capabilities in political economy or finance.
Application Process

Visit the NTU College of Political Economy website at https://www.ntuspe.com.

Download and complete the required forms, including the Personal Information and Statement of Purpose and the Course Record Form.

Submit the completed forms and all other required documents via the online application system.
Interview Process

Only applicants ranked within the top 15 based on the initial review will be invited to the interview stage.

Interview Date: March 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

Location: Details will be posted on the College website along with the list of shortlisted candidates.

Video Interviews: Applicants currently abroad as part of an official exchange program may apply for a video interview. Submit the relevant documents and the application form (available on the College website) before the application deadline.

Selection and Announcement

The final selection process includes a review of application documents (40% of the total score) and the interview (60% of the total score).

Applicants must achieve a minimum overall score of 70 to be considered for admission.
