Y.T. Du

Mr. Y.T. Du, was a Chairman of Nan Shan Life Insurance Co., Ltd from 2011 to 2019.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Du was a Managing Director and Chairman of Citigroup Global Markets Taiwan Limited since 2000 and a veteran investment banking professional leading Goldman Sach’s Asia Investment Banking Services in Hong Kong from 1992 to 1996.

Mr. Du is not only a seasoned banker completing numerous landscape-changing M&A deals, but also an influential opinion leader in Taiwan community. He has been at the forefront in shaping the formation of Taiwan’s capital market regulations and M&A law by contributing his professional experiences and views. He used to serve as an advisor to the Executive Yuan and is a frequent columnist and speaker at leading commercial newspapers and events. Government officials and business leaders have sought for his advice in strategic and financial affairs.

Since he completed the deal advising Ruen Chen Investment Holding Co., Ltd. to acquire Nan Shan from AIG and after that took the position as Vice Chairman of Nan Shan in 2011, he has successfully turned around the company and grew it from the ninth largest life insurance company in terms of market share to the largest in less than five years.
