SPE Second Online Information Session for Incoming Students

On July 18, the School of Political Science and Economics (SPE) held its second online information session for incoming students, bringing together future SPE students from around the world who will begin their academic journey this September. The session aimed to help participants better understand important pre-arrival procedures and get ready for a smooth start to the new semester.

The event was honored by the presence of Professor Bennett Fu, Director of International Affairs and the Leadership and Management Degree Program at SPE. Professor Fu warmly welcomed the incoming students and shared greetings and encouragement on behalf of the faculty and staff.

The session began with introductions to the SPE administrative team and the SPE Compass Program peer guides, who will be supporting students throughout their studies. Students were also introduced to upcoming activities such as the Taiwan Culture & Sightseeing Tour, designed to enrich their cultural experience and student life at SPE.

Administrative staff then provided a step-by-step walkthrough of the registration and course selection processes, carefully organized according to timeline and student status. Every detail was explained to ensure students are fully prepared to complete all required procedures and officially become part of both NTU and SPE.

Throughout the session, many students actively raised questions and shared comments, which not only clarified important matters for fellow participants but also helped SPE staff better understand student needs. All inquiries were carefully documented, and follow-up responses were provided to all attendees — as well as to those who were unable to join the session.

We look forward to welcoming everyone in person soon and embarking on a new chapter together at SPE!
